- 2010/01/26 District Enrolment: Trustee Colburn requested that information be provided regarding a comparison of Edmonton Catholic Schools enrolment versus the District’s enrolment over past 5 years.
- 2010/02/23 Funding Formula: Trustee Colburn requested that information be provided regarding whether the funding formula is sufficient in meeting the needs of K-9 students and high school students. He also requested that information be provided regarding when and why the current CEU funding formula for high schools was adopted.
- 2010/02/09 Long Term Plan: (This request was denied by a majority of the board and automatically converted into a motion.) That a full report on the District’s long-term plan in the area of space rationalization be brought to public board prior to any vote on school closures and that the report provide information in the following areas: a) In the current economic climate, approximately how many schools, over what period of time, would we need to close in order to meet our space rationalization objectives? b) What is the optimal number of unused spaces that the District is working toward? c) What is our plan to address the $24 million spending beyond our level of funding in our Plant Operations and Maintenance budget? d) Provide specific evidence on how and why the quality of education becomes compromised when a school population falls below a certain level.
- 2009/10/13 Special Education Transportations: Trustee Colburn requested a status report regarding special education transportation: *progress on reducing ride times *progress on driver training to meet student needs *addressing lost instructional time due to excessive ride times
- 2009/10/13 Volunteerism: Trustee Colburn requested… that examples be provided regarding the practices of other districts regarding volunteerism (either mandatory or otherwise).
- 2009/04/28 Transportation Funding: Trustee Colburn requested that information be provided from General Counsel on whether the School Act restricts non-transportation dollars from funding the District's transportation budget.
- 2009/03/10 Policy Feedback: Trustee Colburn requested that information be provided regarding how the district engages staff, community and parents to stimulate stakeholder feedback regarding new and changing policies.
- 2009/12/09 Aging Boilers: Trustee Colburn requested that information be provided regarding how many District schools still have boilers and, of those, how many boilers are over 50 years of age.
- 2008/11/25 Paperless Business: Trustee Colburn requested information regarding the feasibility of the Board adopting a paperless format in conducting its business (costs, etc.)

- 2008/10/14 Special Needs Transportation: Trustee Colburn requested the following information regarding special needs transportation: -How many special needs students using district transportation exceed the district's targeted one-hour ride time? -How many regular program students using district transportation exceed the district's targeted one-hour ride time? -What is the longest ride time on a more or less regular basis for any special needs student (the time between home and school)? -How many needs special needs students on a more or less regular basis arrive after the scheduled start time of their school? If so, how late would they be?
- 2008/09/23 Special Needs: Trustee Colburn requested that information be provided regarding special needs reviews that have been conducted over the past 10 years in terms of the following. -What were the recommendations coming out the reviews? -What were the outcomes of the recommendations coming out of the reviews? -How is the impact of the recommendations monitored?
- 2008/09/23 SchoolZone: Trustee Colburn requested that information be provided regarding the number of schools that have used SchoolZone over the past 3 years. He also requested supplementary information regarding how SchoolZone works and highlights of the program for the benefit of new trustees.
