Sustainable School
Sustainable school being built because of the advocacy of the school board and democratic participation.
Teaching by example: A school is being built in Ontario with an arts, science and technology focus. It uses recycled and local materials. It has solar walls, geothermal heating and it uses less energy by recycling water and having natural lighting.
Its not just a school that is friendly to the environment… It is friendly to hard working, tired parents as it will also include a day-care centre with room for 40 preschoolers.
